The short version: no accounts, no ads, no cookies set by this site, and your vocabulary test answers never leave your browser. The one thing we measure is which pages get read.
Every page loads Ahrefs Web Analytics from analytics.ahrefs.com, a cookieless analytics service. It counts page views and records the kind of information any web request carries — the page address, the referring site, browser and device type, and approximate country — so we can see which pages are useful. It is not used for advertising, and we do not combine it with anything else.
The test runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent to us. When you finish, your latest result is saved in your browser’s local storage so the home page can show it; clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.
Like almost every website, our web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, the page requested, time and browser — which are used only to keep the site running and secure.
No accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter, no advertising, no cookies set by this site, and no selling or sharing of data.
